Memorial Day Weekend

Rayan had a fun long weekend.  He spent time with both sets of grandparents and lots of time at home with Mommy & Daddy.  On Saturday, he had some fun in the Bumbo making funny faces at the camera.


In the evening, we went to the Sanghani's place for dinner. Rayan slept most of the night in Baby Sanghani's glider. He was breaking it in for his future buddy! He did wake up to pose with the Sanghani's.
The rest of weekend Rayan played with us. He did some tummy time and spent lots of time trying to roll over. He also tried carrots for the first time.

4 Months Old!

Rayan is 4 months old now!  It's crazy how time flies.  I still remember when we brought him home from the hosptial, how tiny he was!    Rayan is starting to develop his personality now.  He loves to grab at his mobiles and toys that we place in front of him.   He smiles when you talk to him.  He giggles when his daddy whistles at him. These are some pictures of him with Mr. Bear over the past four months.

First Sleepover

Saturday was very busy day for Rayan. In the morning, I had a shower to attend and Daddy had was going out of town, so I decided to take Rayan to his Nani & Nana's house for his first sleepover. I forgot my camera so I had to rely on everyone else to take the pics! The evening started with some playing at home. Sammy Mama came over and played with Rayan. Then we went to Ledo's Pizza and met family there. Rayan was awake and happy for most of the dinner. This was him after a couple of hours.

Later we went back home and we attempted the rice cereal again! This time he had on his plastic bib, and Sneh Mami helped me out. Thanks!!! I had the wrong approach. This time, Ry was 1/2 laying down so he could swallow the cereal a little better. I held his hands down because he moves them around too much and occasionly swats the spoon, sending the cereal flying across the room! Sneh Mami fed him and the rest of the fam (about 4 people) entertained / distracted Rayan while he was eating. This attempt very successful and much much cleaner! I don't know how Piyush and I are going to re-create it with out all the help.

When it was finally time for bed, Rayan slept in his pack n' play across the hall from me. Nani fed Ry at both 3 am and 7 am and let me sleep! It was great! The next morning, Ry got spoiled with lots attention and love by his grandparents. When we finally got home, Ry was tired from all the fun!

Rice Cereal

This morning, Rayan tried rice cereal for the first time. He was very hungry and seemed really confused when I gave him the first spoon. He was trying to eat it like he would milk. It was a messy experience! We first started on the couch in the family room. After a couple of minutes of food all over his face, his bumbo and the couch! So we decided to move him the kitchen counter. He seemed to like the cereal. Later that afternoon I made a trip to Babies R Us and got him a plastic bib! Hopefully feeding him will get easier, and a little less messy!

Shots Again!!

Today Rayan had his four month wellness checkup. He had to get two shots and one oral vaccine. I scheduled the appointment a little early to get the doctor we like. I picked Rayan up from daycare around 2:30 and met Piyush at the doctor's office. This is Ry before the shots! He is happy and enjoying the weather!  He has no idea whats coming.
This is Rayan about 1 hour after the shots. He was a champ! He cried for a little while, and then we gave him a bottle and he was all better.

Rayan weighed in at 11 lbs. He is still small but growing on track! The doctor told us to start him on rice cereal and other foods slowly so he can start packing on the pounds! Don't we all wish we had that problem!

My First Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was the best!  It actually ended up being a Mother's Day weekend!  Saturday morning, Piyush watched Rayan while I went out and got a massage and facial.  In the evening I went to the mall and did some shopping.  That night Piyush took Rayan's 2:30 and 5:30 feedings while I slept 8 hours straight for the first time in 3 1/2 months!  When I finally woke up on Sunday, I spent some quality time with my Ry.  



Later that afternoon, Sammy came over and chilled with Ry before we headed out to a family lunch. Rayan spent time with his Nani and the rest of the family. He had a really good time playing and watching everyone!

Mother's Day Part One

We celebrated Mother's Day a little early with Rayan's Dadi. We met the family out for dinner. Rayan slept through the entire dinner! His cousin Kareena was wide awake and waiting for Rayan to wake up and play!
