Rayan Now!

Rayan has been changing so much every week. He is very hard to keep up with now! This is my first blog post in some time so its all about how Ry is nowadays. Since the last post, Ry had his 1 year appointment. Little guy got several shots and for the first time tried to smack the nurses hand away! He is much more aware of his surroundings and is a very active little guy with a huge personality! He is also getting really big! Since his 9 month appointment, Ry jumped from the 8th percentile to the 25! Ry weighed in at 20 pounds 14 ounces and around 29 inches tall.

At one, Ry is walking and now running everywhere. He still needs support to pull himself up but is working really hard to get up with out help. He's had many falls but they don't seem to phase him at all! Rayan talks, but in his own language. He says some words like 'ball', 'dog', 'mama', 'da' - thats daddy. He understands a lot of what we are saying and tries to have conversations with us. Rayan has 9 teeth and has been working on his 10th the past couple sleepless nights! As his weight gain is showing, he is starting to like food a lot more. His favorites are anything with cheese, pastas and fruits. He is slowly starting to better at 'chewing' so we are trying more and more new thing everyday!

Other things Ry is doing are wrestling everything (especially daddy and his Elmo chair), climbing on things, throwing everything away, and waiting for the water cooler to put water in his sippy cup! He stands patiently with his sippy (lid still on) sitting under the water spout and talking to the cooler and me. Its soooo cute! Then when he is bored of that, he takes everything and throws it in the trash!
