First Thanksgiving

This was Rayan's first Thanksgiving. He had an eventful week! Ry's daycare was closed the entire week, but Piyush and I still had to work. So Ry spent Monday with Sneh Mami, Jinder Mama, Swati and Shweta. They all made sure to be home to spend time with Ry. He had tons of fun! This is a cellphone shot of him after his nap in the mini fort they built for him.

Tuesday and Wednesday were spent with each set of grandparents. Ry had so much fun this past week! On Thanksgiving, we had our annual party and Kumar Mama and Usha Mami's place! It was lots of fun spending time with family. Ry had the most fun following Mona Masi's dog, Caesar around!

10 Months

Another month has flown by. Rayan is 10 months old! Rayan is learning new things everyday and is so much fun to watch. He is babbling all the time now. Sometimes it looks like he is trying to have a conversation with you. Every night I read a book to Rayan. Now if you hand him a book, he will hold it and just start talking. I guess he thinks he is reading the book, but he doesn't even open it! Too cute! He is also falling all the time now. He is always standing, and sometimes will let go of his support. This usually leads to a fall, but sometimes you will catch him balancing himself! The cutest is when he gets so excited he starts clapping and forgets to hold on!

This month, Rayan weighed in at a little under 18 lbs. He is slowly moving from purees to solids, although I don't think he fully understands that he needs to swallow the food after its chewed! Rayan has 4 bottom teeth and is working on the top two. He loves to mimic us. Especially when I say no, he shakes his head no, smiles, and then proceeds to do whatever I was trying to stop. Its amazing how much he changes each day!

Happy Birthday Samay!

Today was Samay's 4th birthday party! He had pirate themed birthday bash. Rayan watched all the kids do the hokie pokie, dance, and try to crack open the treasure chest piñata. He even tried to joined the fun with his version of dancing (bouncing and clapping!).

Busy Weekend!

This weekend was a busy one for us. Piyush and I had tickets to the VT / MD game so Rayan spent Friday night with Nani & Nana. He had lots of fun getting spoiled by them. Here he is helping me in the kitchen before leaving on Friday. He had lots of fun banging and making loud noises!

On Saturday after the game, we went to Roshini's house for a play date with Roshini, Samay, Ajay and Kareena. We were able to get all the kids in a picture together!


For the past couple of weeks, we have been noticing that Ry tries to mimic us. He has learned to say wave bye, put his hand to his ear when we say hello, and use the computer like his Daddy!

Happy 3rd Birthday Ajay!!

Today was Ajay's (Rayan's cousin) 3rd Birthday. He celebrated by having friends and family at Jump Works. All of the kids had so much fun bouncing in the many moon bounces. And all of the other fun toys! Rayan had a lot of fun, especially riding the lion around. He would cry every time we would stop pushing him!

Doshi Baby Shower

Today we attended Romi Masi and Sid Uncle's baby shower. They are expecting a baby girl in early January. Rayan is so excited for another cousin to play to with! Here are some photos from the shower.

Happy Halloween!!!

For Rayan's first Halloween he was a monkey! He didn't mind being in the costume while Mommy & Daddy tried to get some pictures of him. We didn't take him out to any houses because of the weather, but he had fun answering the door and handing out candy!
